Every Caye Caulker company
None of the Caye Caulker companies publish their prices online. Ask for any of them by name, or send your dates and we get quotes from all of them.
How it works
- Send your dates. Use the form. It opens WhatsApp with your request written out.
- We ask every company. We message the Caye Caulker companies and come back with who has a cart and the price.
- You pick one. The company confirms with you and you pay them directly. No fee from us.
Do you need a golf cart on Caye Caulker?
Caye Caulker is small and its motto is “go slow.” The village has sand streets, and most visitors walk or ride a bike. You don't need a cart for a whole week the way you might on Ambergris Caye.
A cart is worth it if:
- you're traveling with small kids or older relatives, or anyone who finds walking on sand hard,
- you're staying toward the south end, away from the water taxi dock,
- you have bags to move between the dock and your room,
- you want an easy afternoon seeing the whole island.
For most people a few hours or a single day is enough. Hourly rentals are common and start around $15 an hour.
Before you rent
- Bring your driver's license from home and carry it while you drive.
- Carts can't cross the Split. The north side of the island is reached by boat.
- Drive slowly. The streets are shared with people walking, bikes and dogs.
Going on to San Pedro?
The water taxi from Belize City stops at Caye Caulker on its way to Ambergris Caye. If you're splitting your trip, compare San Pedro golf cart rentals too, where most guests keep a cart for their whole stay.
